The Residence 103 follows the urbanistic principles of the Lake Nona area outlined in the masterplan (also designed by Daniel Gusmao), with houses and services integrated into a unique community. The house has a modern design, a linear floor plan and for this particular project, Daniel Gusmao and Aaron Barcellona (from Barcellona homes) chose to highlight the surrounding nature. The house leans over a water mirror, “like a bird contemplating the beauty of the lake”, in the words of Daniel. The nature is brought inside the houses through “transparent” walls, since they are not noticed and are fully integrated into the open plan space. The visitor immediately perceives the visual sequence that connects all the rooms, from the entrance hall to the infinity edge pool and over the lake.
