Olympic Harbor Rio De Janeiro (Porto Olimpico)
Following a trend observed in many port cities around the world, the main idea was to modernize the site and achieve a better integration of new mixed use spaces in the area, besides "giving back" the area to pedestrians. For this, a continuous and large “green circuit”, involving the land and guiding their occupation along with adjacent blocks, stimulating integration and circulation of pedestrians, where an emblematic bridge connects-integrates the eastern and western lands. The extension of this circuit up to Guanabara Bay establishes a greater relation with the banks of the port dock and, consequently, with the entire coast of Rio de Janeiro, once the strip that goes from the port dock to the banks of the bay is considered revitalized, it will become an extension of the public space of the Rio de Janeiro coastline and, therefore, an investment catalyst for the area.
